KERALA Tour Itinerary 5 Night / 6 Days Itinerary Day 1 Cochin - Munnar ( 150 Kms/04 ½ Hours ) After the arrival proceed to Munnar, one of the most popular hill stations in India is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600 m above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Check in the Hotel/ resort. Rest of the day free to enjoy in the Hotel. Over night at Munnar. Day 2 - In Munnar Tea trail and Orthodox Tea Factory (1935) visit “The highest tea growing estate in the World” After breakfast drive through the Kanan Devan Hills tea plantations and scenic beauty valleys, Lock heart gap,spice plantations etc…, Would be a wonderful experience of the jeep drive through the tea plantations jeep able rugged road and can have close look to the spectacular country side and the rural Tamil people who is working in the tea plantations with the warm smile, also we can visit one of the oldest tea factory – in this tour in between we can walk as much we want. Wildlife Tours :- Through the Anamudi shola National Park. “The biggest shola forest in India” A wonderful drive through Kanan Devan Hills tea plantations, villages, Madupatty, Echo-Point, Kundala Dam and a spectacular drive/walk through the Anamudi shola National Park, where you can see the real nature,birds life, tree fern grown like a palm tree etc…, after this 8 kilometer drive/walk we will enter in a beautiful countryside of the Tamil people where you can see the vegetable cultivations, rise, and Sugarcane cultivations, Muniyara“the historical hermitages” etc…, this drive will take you up the Kerala Tamil Nadu border to a Tea Museum- The Kannan Devan Hills Produce Company Houses India’s only tea Museum in a Century old tea estate. Memorabilia include burial urn from the second century BC, 1905 TEA Roller,1920’s old British Train Engine, photographs, curios, century old relics etc. The tea tasting and watching processing, really worth watch. Blossom International Park-This park sprawls over 16 acres, a garden with a profusion of flowers.Boat ride along Munnar Water ways are memorable forever. Mattupetty-At a height of 1700m Dam is a favorite hunt of Nature Lovers and boating inside it creates a transformation in your life as it is memorable and everlasting. Eravikulam National Park-One of the finest Wild Life Park in the World and it is the largest habitat for the Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered species Entry fee Rs:35- 40/- Indians Cam Rs: 50-100 Anamudi peak, Tata Tea museum Rs: 65 per head Day 3 - Munnar – Thekkady ( 110 Kms/03 Hours ) After break fast Proceed to Periyar and check into the hotel. Periyar/Thekkady is considered a heaven for natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and clove. The main attraction in thekkady is boating on the lake and the Mullai Periyar Dam.Boating will take approximate 1 hour and we can also get rare glimpses of wild animals. Thekkady has immense possibilities for Adventure Tourism. The Forest Department offers many programs including Periyar Tiger Trail, Nature walk, Bamboo Rafting, etc Day 04 Thekkady Bamboo rafting and Trecking: 08:00 – 17:00 hrs Total 1500 per head .Excluding entry fee. Meals Include Veg   Day 5 –Thekkady - Kumarakom ( 170 Km 04 Hrs) Afetr Breakfast proceed to Alleppey,this is a quaint town flanked by the Arabian Sea in the west and has a vast network of lakes, lagoons and freshwater rivers criss-crossing it. Check into the houseboat on arrival (check in time 12.00 pm). Enjoy the day with a backwater cruise on the Vembanad Lake. Overnight stay is on the houseboat. Salim Ali Birds Sanctuary : Entry fee 100/- per person Day 06 Cochin Departure The blissful holiday in Kerala comes to an end today. Every moment of the trip was memorable but as all good things in life must come to an end it's time now to head for Cochin Airport and board the flight back home.
